, a leading regional building construction services company is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its growing Operations team to manage projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Assist Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager as directed
Responsible for coordinating with subcontractors, and architects to ensure effective communication at all levels.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  1. Collect and track all potential cost changes on a project and reports to the Project Manager with their findings to ensure accurate cost perspective of the project.
  2. Assist project engineers, superintendents, etc
    on an as needed basis for field operations.
  3. Coordinate with safety personnel on an as-needed basis.
  4. Assist the Project Manager in the buy-out process of subcontracts and purchase orders and ensure proper tracking.
  5. Assist the Project Manager in preparing monthly progress billings for submission to the Owner and monitor owner response to ensure timely receipt of payments and satisfactory cash flow for the project.
  6. Ensure all submittals are properly expedited to prevent project delays.
  7. Ensure proper and timely project closeout including submission of all close-out documents, warranties, releases, etc.
  8. Other duties as required to ensure success of assigned projects.
  9. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Educational and experience requirements include: four-year engineering degree or equivalent, plus three (3) or more years of experience/knowledge of building construction, design, finance, and management required
Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities vital; superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential
Significant business skills required.
